BRANDT SAKAKEENY is the Founder and Managing Partner of Rockingstone Advisors LLC.

Prior to founding Rockingstone Advisors, Brandt was Managing Director, Co-Head of the Associates, and member of Deutsche Bank's Company Research Management Committee (CRMC) until January 2009.  Managing a team of six investment professionals, Brandt provided lead research coverage for the Business Services and IT Services industries, including sectors such as outsourcing, consulting, transaction processing, payroll processing and staffing services.

With more than 15 years analyzing securities, Brandt has developed a reputation as a thought-leader on Wall Street; he has achieved top three rankings in Institutional Investor and the Greenwich Survey; he has been widely quoted in the financial press and is a regular guest on CNBC.

He was responsible for teaching “Complex Valuation Methodologies” to Deutsche Bank’s incoming training class, and taught Salomon Smith Barney's training class on the proper structuring and marketing of initial public offerings (IPOs).

Brandt received an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from DePauw University, and is a registered investment advisor in the states of New York and Florida; he has passed his Series 7, 63, 86, 87 and 66 exams.

He also serves on the Board of Directors of SNL Financial, a Charlottesville, VA-based information services company.

Brandt resides in Larchmont, NY with his wife Martelia and four sons.
